Founded on a research tradition that began in 1999 with the African Cultural Institute and later formalised as May Publishing Limited, the company has built a distinctive body of work in biographies, autobiographies, corporate histories, government histories, family records, institutional memory projects and high-level editorial production.
Its early foundation in scholarly publishing, especially through the Journal of Cultural Studies, gave the firm a discipline rare in the field of life-story publishing: respect for evidence, context, chronology, interpretation and the enduring value of knowledge.
